Thank you for visiting the Pastor Matthew at 60 website!
Join us as we celebrate this wonderful milestone and give thanks to God for the great things He has done. Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo is the President and Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre, the largest church in Western Europe.
An inspiring visionary, Pastor Matthew has inspired countless souls with his passionate preaching of the living Word.
His inspiring faith in God saw him start KICC in September 1992, when he and 300 members rented a hall at Holloway Boys School, North London, to hold Kingsway International Christian centre’s inaugural service.
To date, the KICC family has developed a growing membership at its London headquarters and national and international network of branches.
An unstoppable visionary with a heart to challenge everyone who comes into contact with him to be the best, Pastor Matthew continues to strive for the improvement and advancement of Africa through activities including conferences designed to raise effective leaders within the continent, and philanthropic projects such as providing food, clothing and monetary donations to some 2,000 widows and the building of a university and hospital in Nigeria.
Previously honoured as the most influential black person in the public sector/religion category by one of Britain’s leading black newspapers, Pastor Matthew’s influence on church growth and evangelism has been noted by local and international news media.
An award-winning and prolific author, Pastor Matthew has published more than 70 books, including “The Power of Positive Prayer Bible” and the classic ‘What’s Wrong With Being Black?’ – a book hailed for ‘reaching the parts community campaigners cannot reach’.
It is with great joy, honour and humility that we say happy 60th birthday to Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo: husband, father, pastor, mentor, teacher and businessman.
